In which world is this a Plus Size model?? There are several articles today about UK stores ordering more UK size 12 and 14 (N.American size 8 and 10) mannequins for their stores. The gorgeous Laura Wells in the picture is the size 8 body on which the mannequin is based. She is not plus sized!!
To top it off some self-appointed mannequin spokesman, Jim Moody said: “Curves are back and set to stay this spring/summer.” And when curves are out in Fall, Jim, all the women of the world will magically transform their figures to suit the industry, we’re just that helpful!
it is totally crazy……..women are women and we are all different shapes and sizes and I really wish that the fashion industry would not try to put us in these neat little boxed categories…..when we don’t actually fit ! Shi xoxo
Just can’t win. People complain if the models are too thin, and now that there are ones that are larger they’re still complaining. Sheeshers.
