that helped :D now i see the loop hole: i eat very little meat (3-5 meals/week) because i rarely crave it and only like chicken and fish (beef/veal are too expensive, hate pork). i definitely need to stock up on quinoa & keep up eating 3 eggs per day

Funny it’s the opposite here, chicken and fish are ridiculously expensive whereas beef and veal are reasonably cheap haha. You can definitely get enough protein without eating meat, it’s just personal preference for me, I love meat.

This is from Calorie Count: “Foods of animal origin have the most protein. They are meat, fish, poultry, eggs, and milk-based foods. Beans and legumes have a significant amount of protein. Think of dried beans (black beans, black-eyed peas, chickpeas, etc.), soybeans and soybean products (tofu, tempeh and TVP) and lentils, split peas and whole dried peas. Starches and vegetables have a small amount of protein, but it adds up over the course of a day.”
